First memory of soccer: I was six years old and I was in Kamchatka remote region of Russia called by Russian people “middle of nowhere with internet and gas issues every day in current moment.” I was playing with local Native Kamchadals (habitants of our region), we played indoor futsal for almost nine months of the year because of heavy volume of snow, which could last into June. We had only about month to play outdoor soccer on big turf field that Russian Soccer Federation laid down for our region. Switching was physically challenging for us muscles were not used for long runs in big field and bigger distances after so much playing indoors.
Soccer Inspirations: My soccer inspirations are Edams -his instagram: edamsedams, youtube channel: EDAMS19 – one of the most famous Russian content creator and soccer player associated with club in Russia 2DROTS that combines competitive soccer with live streams on big channels in Russia and Youtube. Another inspiration for soccer is Cristiano Ronaldo because of his discipline and consistency in and out of field maintaining great fitness level at 41 years old.
First famous person I encountered: Was Edams. I texted him in Instagram while seeing he was in America for World Cup 2026, surprisingly he responded to my message within two minutes and I helped him in purchasing tickets for World Cup and he gave me opportunity to appear in Youtube video channel with him. It was special because he is one of my inspiration and person who I can text in any moment for any guestion: it’s like from being his fan to actually working and collaborating with him
Childhood dream: Were to own a private jet and travel. I’ve always being amazed to look my head up to sky and see powerful airplanes such as Antonov An-28 taking off in my remote Russian region.
Favorite movies: Home Alone 2, Titanic and Godfather.
Last book read: Fahrenheit 451.
Greatest soccer moment so far: Was receiving an opportunity to study and play soccer in Italy in 2027 with a soccer scholarship covering a lot of amount of tuition, more than 50%. I attended their Serie A Elite camp that I was invited to in Tampa in June and they were discovering talent players from North America division. I tried out and intensity of game was amazed, and got surprised with their official offer later in October.
Most painful moment: Was one difficult experience with learning that I would not be eligible to play another high school season – it was senior year 2025-2026 – because my eligibility clock had started when I was attending school in Russia. I still wanted to play and contribute to my school and I was assistant coach with Saint Stephens Episcopal School.
Funny soccer memory: When I first came to Saint Stephens in January 2024 and first practice on field I wasn’t even speaking English and to all instruction I was responding “Yes” while doing opposite, we laughed with teammates. Coach said, “I’m not William Shakespeare but I wish I could speak Russian to make everything clear for you.”
Strangest game: That came in mind first for me was final Saint Stephens against ODA district final in 2025 January. Looks like we were controlling the game with more amount of shots in target than opponent but ended up with score 0-0 and unlucky lost in after-match penalty kicks, luck wasn’t in our side that day.
Embarrassing soccer memory: Celebrating a goal before it had been ruled out for offside … illegal position behind opponent defenders on field. I was so excited and noticed the flag was up.
Why Do You Love Soccer: I love soccer because it gives me something to keep working toward. Moving from Russia to United States brought a lot of changes, but soccer helped me with connections, adapting to new language and find opportunities. Mostly I love to be great and disciplined teammate for everyone.
Favorite ice cream flavor: Is Oreo Cookies and Cream [smiles].
People qualities most admired: Honesty, discipline and ability to work with teams.
